The whole concept of shortened overtunic worn over the long undertunic or chemise is not at all innovative or unusual – it was a widely spread pattern for the early Middle Ages. The fabric was either pricey or time-consuming to make; hence, getting rid of a couple of meters in one's shopping list would be considered a huge success!

Not to mention, you acquire a 2-in-1 solution! Layer it over the undertunic for a historically accurate look. For an audacious character that doesn't bother to be historically accurate – wear it on its own. Trust us, you would be happy to have the second option available during the summer heat wave.

The overdress features a V-shape neckline that looks good on everyone! The neckline and short sleeves have narrow contrasting flax linen accents and an undescribable depth of color due to three meticulously selected shades of hemp rope alongside. The bottom edge has a wider contrasting accent and the same hemp rope framing. Those three tiny threads of rich shades play the trim's role and add a magical twinkle of color to an otherwise modest garment. Another outstanding finishing touch is an unusual fragmentary herringbone stitching at the sleeves and neckline with contrasting color running stitches on one side. Our designers did a tremendous job selecting the exact shades to match the fabric color, hemp ropes, and cotton mouline threads into one complex and eye-catching synergy. And they did it not once or twice but supplied five deep and non-trivial color schemes.
